Functional Materials has developed a novel grade of silicon carbide (SiC) ceramics with unmatched oxidation resistance and the ability to perform under the most severe operating conditions. These carbide ceramics do not show weight change and oxidation in air at temperatures of up to 1550°C. Made to outperform conventional silicon carbide in corrosive, high-temperature, and high-pressure applications, our SiC components can be tailored for a number of applications and requirements.
